At Bonny Downs, we understand how important good nutrition is to our community’s health and wellbeing!
What’s on the menu?
Every day our staff prepare a breakfast and lunch, complemented morning and afternoon snacks that include plenty of fruit and vegetables along with healthy water and milk-based drinks.
Our menu changes weekly as part of a rotating cycle so your child will never get bored. It’s also carefully designed to reflect the diversity of our borough and to introduce them to new foods and cultures!
All meals are included in our prices, excluding baby milk (where applicable) which we ask you to prepare and provide, and we store in line with food hygiene guidelines.
Get involved!
Whenever possible, we include fresh produce from our own East Ham community garden and invite children to visit and see nature in action. We grow many things from fruit such as apples, pears, berries and grapes; to garden herbs, vegetables and salad items like tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers and marrows.
At our nursery, we also offer regular opportunities for children to join together safely with our cook and team in preparing meals – which are designed to be both fun and educational!
Special diets
We endeavour to cater for all dietary requirements, whether for health or cultural reasons. This includes vegetarian, vegan and halal diets. If you have a dietary requirement, all you need to do is tell us on your registration form when you register your child – and if you wish to discuss things in more detail, we’re always happy to do so.
