We know how tricky it can be trying to balance a busy working and family life – and how stressful it can be finding affordable and reliable childcare!
That’s why Bonny Downs Community Association has been offering a high quality, low cost After School Club service for local families in Newham since 2012. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, it’s open from 3-6pm in term time.
We also provide a popular Holiday Club with extended hours from 8am-6pm during key school breaks.
Both these services are based at The Bobby Moore Pavilion in East Ham.
Our mission is to provide a stable, structured, safe and secure setting for children between the ages of 4 ½ and 11 years old where they can feel at home and make new friends.
We seek to provide an environment in which children can thrive personally, socially and educationally – as well as gaining a sense of belonging to their community!
We are proud to have built a strong reputation in Newham for being a welcoming place that provides a high standard of care for children from all backgrounds right across our diverse borough.

After School Club
Our staff collect children between 4½ – 11 years from local primary schools when the school day finishes and bring them to our centre in East Ham.
Running from 3pm to 6pm, our structured programme of activities includes:

- Outdoor play and activities in our playing fields and community garden
- A healthy afternoon snack and drink
We currently collect from Vicarage Primary, Roman Road Primary, Langdon Academy, Nelson Primary School, Hartley Primary School, St Michael’s school and Central Park Primary School.
The aim of our Holiday Club is simple – to help your children enjoy a ‘holiday at home’ and safely have fun with their friends and neighbours while you’re at work!
